A massive red sandstone fort on the banks of the Yamuna River, Agra Fort

Located 10 km from Agra in Sikandra, the tomb of Emperor Akbar is a blend

Hindu, Islamic, and Christian architectural styles. The massive gateway decorated with white
marble mosaics is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture.
Built in 1648 by Shah Jahan's daughter Jahanara Begum, the Jama Masjid of
Agra
is one of the largest mosques in India. Its stunning red sandstone and white marble
construction
can accommodate over 10,000 worshippers at once.
A hidden gem in Agra, Chini Ka Rauza is the tomb of Allama Afzal Khan
Mullah,
a poet and prime minister of Shah Jahan. The monument is known for its exquisite
Chinese-style
glazed tile work β unique in all of Mughal architecture.
Believed to be the oldest surviving Mughal garden in India, Ram Bagh was
laid
out by Emperor Babur in 1528. Situated on the Yamuna riverbank, this historic garden follows
the
classic Persian charbagh (four-garden) layout design.
Located in Sikandra near Agra, Mariam's Tomb is the resting place of
Mariam-uz-Zamani, wife of Emperor Akbar and mother of Emperor Jahangir. The tomb is built in
red
sandstone with beautiful Mughal architectural details.
